Douglas Pegg, C.Tech.

Douglas Pegg is a certified engineering technician (OACETT Certified), holding advanced electrician licenses (Industrial, Maintenance and Construction - 309A and 442A Licences in Ontario, Canada). He has had advanced training in a number of electronic and programming disciplines.

His career started in 1979 with Canada's largest steel maker in North America's largest steel making facility (Dofasco, Hamilton, now ArcelorMittal owned). By the mid 90's he switched to industrial repair sales and business development, first with an industrial component repair company and then later with North America's largest industrial electronics repair house, moving into pure sales and business development for advanced automation and robotic controller sales. He made numerous large scale presentations to the highest levels of plant management involving the 'Big Three' North American auto companies and successfully secured plant-wide, totally comprehensive contracts; including from Chrysler Windsor Assembly (the largest automotive assembly plant in Canada). He developed broad relations across the whole Tier 1 automotive supply company sector (many of the world's largest industrial concerns, such as Magna) and with other car companies, such as Honda.

He briefly joined an Engineering Consulting Firm, MHSL, which brought international experience; project management for a plant start-up in Germany, as well as enhanced sales and client responsibilities for clients in the condominium industry. In 1998, while at MHSL he became a Certified Technician with OACETT.

He left consulting engineering to join Flow Automation (Automated Factory Solutions Manufacturer) as a new Regional Sales Manager. He built sales across Southern Ontario, then into several U.S. states. He was responsible for lead generation, follow up, sales proposal preparation and contract negotiation. He arranged and participated in large trade shows and large scale presentations.

Doug then joined the renewable energy industry, focusing in geothermal (ground source heat pump) technology (Earth Energy Utility AG; a Swiss based company). After several successful years as head of business development, he moved in 2003 to develop markets for the power conditioning system, ElectroFlow. Over a 9 year period, Doug developed the ElectroFlow market in Ontario, later achieving sales across Canada and the US market. Systems are installed in various Fortune 50 companies (such as JCI, McCain, Nestle, Magna, Danone Yogurt). In 2011 he played a major role in the sale of a system to the United States federal government, for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters, Rockville, Maryland, USA.

Doug presently heads up PQ2 Solutions Inc., a company dedicated to providing solutions for power quality problems.
